• Erected on a new slab which seamlessly ties into the existing building and slab
• Includes new ventilation systems and motion-activated lighting.
• Installation of a new underground detention structure beneath the existing detention pond, including reconstruction of the surface detention pond.

As an option to installing fire sprinklers throughout the entirety of the facility (nominally $250,000) a 3-hour rated CMU firewall was constructed and fusible link, fire-rated coiling overhead doors were installed for fork truck access between the buildings.

Specialty self-destructive fasteners were used to attach both buildings to the CMU firewall, allowing either building to fall away from the firewall in the event of a fire, reducing the risk of fire on the other side. The cost of the wall and accessories was approximately half the cost of fire protection sprinklers.
