Construction completed 2024.
The first major challenge was that the site resides within the flood plain of the Yellow River. It was therefore subject to heightened Storm Water review by Gwinnett County. Ultimately, a CLOMAR survey was conducted and a unique detention structure (comprised of geofabric and gravel stone) was incorporated into the design.
A major time and cost saving change was made to the sanitary sewer outfall installation. This ultimately resulted in making a jack-and-bore operation, which is very costly, ultimately unnecessary.
The last major challenge was that the local power utility had improperly installed high voltage underground lines on Dr. Agu’s property by mistake. We were ultimately able to prevail upon them to not only remove the lines but also to set a new transformer and run the primary service all the way to the new building’s foundation, saving additional time and money.
