This multi-purpose building includes a classroom, restrooms, shower facilities, concession stand, office space, and storage and will allow a wide range of services and programs for the community of East Point as well as serving Concorde Fire Soccer.
The steel roof supports the photovoltaic power system panels installed by Velo Solar, one of the sustainability initiatives of the project paired with “smart” energy efficient lighting
The custom-built underground geothermal “loop” – a radiant floor tied to an energy-efficient geothermal HVAC system. The water-filled tubing for heat exchange will heat the floor of the 5,000 SF Pavilion, making it more comfortable while reducing energy consumption.
GSP's Rainwater harvesting system will be used to minimize water consumption, funded by a grant from Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta’s Grants to Green program.
